CANTON (September 15, 2023) -- The Greater Stark County Urban League (GSCUL) is proud to announce that former State Representative Thomas West has been selected to serve as the organization’s next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A committee led by GSCUL Board member Kirt Conrad offered the position to Mr. West after conducting an intense search to identify the most qualified person to lead the organization.
“Mr. West brings a proven track record of dedicated public service, a passion for advocating for underserved communities, a wealth of experience, and outstanding leadership skills to this prestigious position,” GSCUL Board President Ralph Lee said. “Throughout his career, including his tenure in the Ohio House of Representatives, Mr. West has consistently demonstrated his commitment to creating positive change and advancing social justice initiatives,” Mr Lee continued. “His dedication to public service and deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities makes him an ideal candidate to lead the Greater Stark County Urban League into a new era of progress and impact.
